Breign was still C.E.O. because of a mandate left by his grandfather that as long as a Breign lived, that Breign must be C.E.O. of the factory. General displeasure at this rule lead to Dr. Breign's nickname, "The Breign That Wouldn't Die". It's interesting to note however that Dr. Breign's father, Grover Breign Jr., was also still alive and would have made a far better C.E.O. had the younger Breign not exiled him to a cave over the elder Breign's unpopular political views.
These appealed greatly to the Nazis however, who were as this very meeting took place plotting to re-install their preferred Breign in the hopes he would cease producing shells for the American War effort. Seeking to discredit the younger Breign, they decided to send Mr. Sink on a devious new mission...
