Episode Eight marks the first triple length episode of The Snail Factory. Covering not only the Union Riots of the late 1930s but Dr. Breign's advent of his signature combover and our introduction to Mr. Sink and his deeply buried labyrinthine prison. It was during the rush to produce this mammoth volume that the original writer suffered his first and second heart attacks. It is believed this experience inspired the addition of the the "Dante Panel" which now resides in the Louvre. It is said that the Dante Panel contains not only occult references to the Necronomicon and Goetia, but also to the Novikhlyistic Book of Lies, rumored to blind any reader who looked upon it without the express written consent of Satan. For these rumors, the writer was executed and most further episodes of the Snail Factory were written by the present author.
